Description
Canine Anaplasma Detection PCR Test for Dogs
Canine Anaplasma Detection PCR is a molecular test that detects Anaplasma species (A. phagocytophilum, A. platys) DNA in dog blood. Anaplasmosis is a tick-transmitted bacterial disease affecting white blood cells (A. phagocytophilum) or platelets (A. platys). PCR is the most sensitive method for confirming active Anaplasma infection in dogs.
At Home Petcare, powered by Diagnopet, provides at-home blood sample collection for the Canine Anaplasma PCR test across Hyderabad.
Types of Canine Anaplasmosis
- Anaplasma phagocytophilum: Infects neutrophils causing granulocytic anaplasmosis, transmitted by Ixodes ticks
- Anaplasma platys: Infects platelets causing cyclic thrombocytopenia, transmitted by Rhipicephalus ticks
